On October 2, we released our 15th studio album; “Utgard”. Throughout a year where the room for maneuver has been, to put it mildly, somewhat limited; we have found new and virtual ways to reach you all around the globe (yes, it’s round!) – in the shape of four concerts that have has been streamed online from our homebase that is Bergen. But we have not relented a second in the search for ways to do the good ‘ol “live-live”, if only with limited capacity – there is more than enough music and energy to take the mosh-pit and the stage diving inside your heads while seated as regulations demand these days. Thus, we have once again found a path through rough terrain to secure Metal to the Norwegian people also during the winter of 2020, in collaboration with a fine collection of committed (and sonically hungry) concert organizers.
Grutle Kjellson is simply extremely enthusiastic: «So it happens; Enslaved goes on a Yule-tour! In these, in every way, dark times; I see it as our responsibility to thunder ahead for this Midwinter Blot; to appease the gods and make the Sun return! So; come toast with us as the Sun turns! See you at the feasts!».
